One Gospel
Join us as Joel shares how Paul’s letter to the Romans brings a divided church back to one shared centre: Jesus is King. Jewish and Gentile believers carried different histories, traditions, convictions, and experiences, raising a deeply human question: who gets to decide who belongs?
Paul begins with the good news about Jesus. Their identity and belonging are found in Him, and together they are learning to become one family under His leadership. That same invitation reaches into our lives today. We each carry preferences, experiences, wounds, fears, convictions, politics, and ideas about what church should look like. Following Jesus means bringing all of these under His leadership.
As we surrender the final word to Jesus, His kingship begins shaping our relationships, plans, habits, ambitions, money, time, and the way we respond to people who see things differently. Faith and discipleship grow as we follow where Jesus leads, choose self giving love, and make room for the people He welcomes into His family.
📖 In This Video, We Chat About:
- Why Paul begins Romans with the good news about Jesus
- How Jewish and Gentile believers were learning to become one family
- What it means to live with Jesus as King
- How our preferences, wounds, fears, and convictions can shape who we welcome
🙏 Join us on this journey as we learn to follow Jesus in our everyday life. This is for anyone looking to deepen their faith or find some answers. This message gives a fresh view on understanding God's love and His plans for us.
- Uncover how the Gospel brings our identity and belonging back to Jesus.
- Recognize the places where preferences, fears, wounds, or convictions may be getting the final word.
- Learn how surrender, obedience, self giving love, and family take shape under the leadership of Jesus.
💡 Highlights of the Sermon:
- Jesus is King, and He gets the final word.
- Different stories and convictions can be held together as Jesus leads His family.
- Following Jesus shapes how we live, love, and welcome others.
